Ahdept, an exciting startup that merges the Internet of Things and AI, is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to support Ahdept’s R&D and lithium production operations located in Kaysville. Responsibilities
- Perform chemical analysis and physical property testing of materials and products.
- Research, design, and develop new production processes.
- Coordinate and perform tests.
- Analyze data to develop conclusions.
- Communicate results of analysis and research.
- Evaluate current processes and develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Create standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.
- Assist in the establishment of timelines and budgets.
- Install, maintain, and inspect equipment and facilities.
- Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
- Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.
- Responsibilities may change due to business needs and according to candidate performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required.
- 2+ years of experience.
- Excited to work on a small, fast-paced startup team.
- Results-driven, outcome-focused, action-oriented approach with a collaborative operating style.
- Strong data-based decision making, problem solving, prioritization, and risk mitigation skills.
- Strategic agility, with the ability to create or adjust plans to achieve targets in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of lab and industrial safety, with experience using process equipment and or lab equipment.
- Self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
