Ahdept is an exciting startup merging the Internet of Things and AI. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide hands-on design engineering expertise across new product development programs and product improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Design products, tooling, and manufacturing processes from prototypes to scaled production.
- Build models and prototypes and test design performance.
- Lead design decisions across varying levels of technical complexity.
- Solve manufacturing issues and drive product improvements and value engineering.
- Create preliminary and detailed drawings using CAD software.
- Develop product specifications and select raw materials and components.
- Develop control systems and monitor production performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 2+ years of related experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling tools preferred.
- Experience in R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, or product management.
- R&D experience in the electronic device industry preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
