About the Role

Ahdept, an exciting startup that merges the Internet of Things and AI, is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to support Ahdept’s R&D and lithium production operations located in Kaysville. This is your opportunity to join a growing company and contribute to process development, testing, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical analysis and physical property testing of materials and products.
  • Research, design, and develop new production processes.
  • Coordinate and perform tests.
  • Analyze data to develop conclusions.
  • Communicate results of analysis and research.
  • Evaluate current processes and develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Create standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.
  • Assist in the establishment of timelines and budgets.
  • Install, maintain, and inspect equipment and facilities.
  • Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
  • Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.
  • Responsibilities may change due to business needs and according to candidate performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required.
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Excited to work on a small, fast-paced startup team.
  • Results-driven, outcome-focused, action-oriented approach with a collaborative operating style.
  • Strong data-based decision making, problem solving, prioritization, and risk mitigation skills.
  • Strategic agility, with the ability to create or adjust plans to achieve targets in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of lab and industrial safety, with experience using process equipment and or lab equipment.
  • Self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
